MCT Soccer: West Morris No. 1
PARSIPPANY _ Unbeaten West Morris Central captured the top spot at the Morris County Tournament seeding meeting for girls soccer held at Parsippany High School on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
Morris Catholic, another unbeaten squad was seeded second, defending champion Randolph captured the third seed and unbeaten Villa Walsh was selected fourth.
Pullis, Vernon get first win

The Vernon girls soccer team was winless through its first six games of the season but the players felt that victory was within their grasp. On Monday, Sept. 24, the Vikings got what they so badly desired.

BOONTON _ Madison, which already has amassed 17 Morris County Field Hockey Tournament titles, was voted the No. 1 seed on Monday, Sept. 24.
The Dodgers, the defending MCT champions, have won all eight of their games this season, including a 3-2 victory over Shore Regional on Saturday.

MADISON _ For most teams, conference and county titles would comprise a dream season.
Not for the Madison High School field hockey squad. Dodgers coach Ann Marie Davies considers 2010 and 2011 rebuilding years because her squad garnered much less hardware than in 2009 when it claimed league, Morris County Tournament, sectional and Group II crowns.

HANOVER TWP. _ Diving bodies, flailing arms and constant complaining followed Whippany Park's Dina Sheira and Villa Walsh's Tess Feury around the soccer field.
Their game within a game was as physical as the soccer contest they were playing in. It ended up that when push came to shove, the advantage went to the Vikings.
